Cracking the Muslims Mind code
In the post 9/11 political hype and spin era Muslims Americans have been spied on, monitored, searched and studied, and their brains have been scanned for any violence-inspired thoughts. Not any more; finally America has cracked the code of the Muslims’ mind, and if we are going to invade a Muslim country every other year this is very important, since we need to know who those people are and how their sick brains work. In the most comprehensive research study by the Pew Research Center about this situation, Muslim Americans were asked about their values, attitude toward America, their beliefs and their behavior. This study went as far as asking the Muslims life’s current most burning question: Is suicide bombing justified to defend Islam? As the report findings show, out of the nearly 60,000 Muslim Americans surveyed, only 1% said that suicide bombings against civilian targets are often justified to defend Islam. Is this good news or bad news for the millions of concerned non-Muslim Americans? Well let us see, a comprehensive study that has a margin of error of 5% asked a hypothetical question to thousands of strangers regarding whether or not killing innocent civilians to defend their religion was justified, and only 1% agreed. Personally, I would take my chances and live my normal life without fear of Muslims. And contrary to what the folks at Fox News are trying to tell us, the majority of Muslim Americans as the Pew Research report indicates are mainstream, assimilated and happy to be alive and not dead. Besides, how would non-Muslims answer the same question anyway? Was the killing of almost one million Iraqi civilians justified to determine whether Saddam Hussein had WMD or to spread the neo-cons version of democracy in Iraq? From the bloggers who blare their hatred towards Muslims in the open, you can easily say that there are thousands of good Christian Americans who theoretically would kill Muslims not even to defend their religion or country but just for the heck of it. A simple search on Google of “Kill Muslims” produces more than 1.5 millions hits in .14 second. Christian rage at Islam has been growing since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Early on there were vicious verbal attacks against Muslims, but they haven't really abated much with time. Even now there are apparently those who consider Muslims to be less than human. Jessica Bennett, who writes for The Boston Globe, suggested, "I've got an idea, let's kill all Muslims," during [Jay] Severin's show on WTKK-FM radio, where the guests were discussing the protocol of Muslims to take over the world. This kind of talk is taking place in a country where thousands of Taliban like Christians working for the neo-con crusader Eric Prince’s CEO of Blackwater Company went to fight the Muslim infidels in Iraq under the guise of private contractors and patriotism.
According to John O. Voll, a professor of Islamic history at Georgetown University, Islamic militants are hardly alone in seeking to rationalize innocent deaths. “Whether you are talking about leftist radicals here in the 1960s, or the apologies for civilian collateral damage in Iraq that you get from the Pentagon, the argument is that if the action is just, the collateral damage is justifiable,” he says. With that kind of attitude, it’s no wonder Americans are still fearful of Muslims these days. Do we really have terror living in our midst as news headlines regularly threaten? In this country where almost 100 people are killed every day due to domestic violence, I would ask my fellow Americans terrified of Muslims: Have you hugged a Muslim today? Go ahead … make your day!
